This year’s big fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala will celebrate the genius work of one of my favorite designers, the late Alexander McQueen.
The Met Art director Thomas P. Campbell and Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton announced the upcoming exhibition, “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” this morning in London. McQueen’s successor, Sarah Burton and Stella McCartney will be co-chairing this year’s event, which will feature creations chosen from each of McQueen’s collections from Nihilism (1994) to his posthumous collection Angels & Demons (2010).
The exhibit runs from May 4th until July 31st.
